When work piles up – it’s hard to think of the ‘good things’ in working hard. But then I step back and look around and take in the very minute I’m in, I then realize that work isn’t the hard part – keeping balanced and sincere is the part you need to constantly check yourself on. Staying balanced to love the life you’ve been given and be sincere to the people around you.
For the first time in my life, I’ve finally found a sense of peace. And to be quite honest with you – I’m at my busiest when it comes to work and life in general. I’m swamped with work, and I have so much to do – yet I’m enjoying every minute. Why? Because I enjoy what I’m doing. So for anyone out there that isn’t enjoying the work and life that they’re currently living – CHANGE IT. Right now… change your ways and you’ll have a more peaceful mind. Everything seems to fall into place when you’re not so worked up on how much you have to do. It falls into place because you’re happy, sincere, and balanced.
Enjoy every breath. Enjoy every day. Enjoy everyone.
While I love and enjoy what I do – sometimes I feel that I’m underutilized. I know that I have so much more to offer and that I could really bring more to the table, yet I don’t want to ‘rock the boat’. If it was up to me I’d be doing the same thing but in more detail and less ‘clerical/administrative’ tasks.
The more I thought about this topic – the more I realized that we all may feel a bit underutilized. So my question to you is – how do you become more fulfilled and ‘better’ utilized? Do you take the plunge and just ask for it? Or are you patient and let things fall into place?
If you know me at all, you know that I’m a very aggressive person and the last thing I want to do is be patient. I’d rather be aggressive and make it happen – but is that the right thing to do? Hmmm….
I’ve often wondered why people hold on to their past. I’ve questioned why people try to live in their past instead of the present. But, now I understand. I too, was stuck trying to ‘go back’ and trying to work out things in the past – trying to ‘take that other path’, but I realized that it’s not healthy and it’s not right. You must not live in yesterday and you must not live and think about things that have happened a long time ago. You must live for the NOW – and only for now. Because you cannot go back to ‘what might have been’, you must think about ‘what will be’. Be happy for living today and strive to make tomorrow even better.
I work for a fabulous company, Family Wealth Planning Institute – and our focus is on changing the way Americans think about lawyers. Alexis established a program within the Family Wealth Planning Institute called Personal Family Lawyer – and it’s a fantastic program! I’m also very proud to say that Alexis Martin Neely graced national television today on the Today Show! We’re all very excited and very proud of her – she is an amazing women! You rock, Alexis!
I’m so excited to start my very first ‘real’ blog! I have several web-blogs… but they’re just not the same. Now this one… this one is fantastic! I can’t wait to really dig into blogging and pour my heart and soul out to all of you – and hopefully I’ll be able to connect with a lot of people regarding really difficult topics. But, this first blog is going to be short and sweet – Welcome to The North Dakotan!
